Description: Learn how to conduct 4WD training classes. The five-day course includes four days of training with seasoned 4WD trainers on HOW to train and one day of hands-on teaching actual students. This course is practical in-field training on how to present and conduct 4WD training classes for recreational drivers and clubs in the fundamentals of vehicle and equipment preparation, 4WD driving techniques and systems, trail ethics and etiquette, and basic recovery procedures in various terrain and obstacle types. Learn how to engage people into a learning mindset, assess their comprehension and abilities, and work with the dynamics of a group. Be a part of the next generation leading responsible outdoor recreation.
Registered participants will receive course materials and homework leading up to the start date.
Course Application: $25 non-refundable application fee. Application questions take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. If you are accepted, that fee will be applied towards the course fee of $1595.
Location: Table Mesa, AZ
Vehicle requirements: 4x4 vehicles with at minimum 32-inch tires and recovery points. Factory skid plates are okay. No low-hanging side steps or roof-top tents.
Course Requirements: Participants must exhibit 4WD experience and some experience with club or group events. 100- and 200-level course prerequisites and/or 100-level plus TtT Orientation. Register in advance. Participants must be 21 or older. No children or pets.
